Exhibition Concept

For the Zuni 1972 exhibit, I have revisited an artistic style I used during that era.

I was hand coating gessoed canvas and fine art paper with a liquid photographic emulsion.

This was then exposed and developed in the darkroom.

The paper I used back then was French "Arches Rives BFK."

It is one of the worlds's finest papers for printmaking; with a 500 year history.

Today, for the Zuni exhibit, I am using the same paper, brought up to modern standards for the digital age.

I have endeavored to present this work in the general manner that I used back then with only minimal image processing.
